👨👩👧👦 KGFC Parent Guidelines & Code of Conduct
At King George FC (KGFC), we value the critical role parents and families play in supporting our athletes. To maintain a respectful, growth-focused environment, we ask that all parents and guardians follow these important guidelines:
✅ KGFC Parent Guidelines
- Encourage self-advocacy. Whenever possible, communication with coaches should come directly from the player. Building this skill is a key part of their development.
- Please do not coach from the sideline. Players should hear only one tactical voice during games—and that voice belongs to the coaching staff. But we encourage you to cheer on your team loud and proud.
- Avoid criticism in front of your athlete. Speaking negatively about coaches, other players, parents, or referees in your child’s presence can damage relationships and undermine trust.
- Follow the 24-hour rule. If you have a concern to discuss with your coach, please wait at least 24 hours after a game or incident before reaching out. Emotional conversations are rarely constructive, whether in person or electronically.
- Take time to learn the Rules of the Game. This is essential for your child to excel and for you to support your child, coach and referees.
⚠️ Enforcement Policy
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Immediate removal from any KGFC soccer event
- Disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from King George FC
We appreciate your commitment to upholding the standards and spirit of our club. Together, we can create a positive, competitive, and supportive environment for all players.
Thank you for being an essential part of the KGFC family! ⚽💙
